Current Events!
Pre-Test for Groups 4, 5, 6 while Groups 1, 2, 3 are setting up.
Today we will be presenting! I am exctied to learn from you!
We will be adding vocabulary to our 'Quadrant' page.
geography- the study of the Earth- how Earth shapes peoples lives and how people shape Earth their activities
physical regions- how Earth's natural environment is split up- example: contintent
climate- pattern of weather over a long period of time
culture- the way of a people live: language, beliefs, occupations, activities, art
values- the things that a culture thinks are important
customs- traditions, beliefs, art
Extra Credit Video- Post or email me 10 complete sentences

I just watched the video on geography. It begins by explaining how the earth orbits. Next it talks about land masses and the 7 continents. It then shows how the sun warms the earth. After that it tells you about the equator, the two tropics, and the two circles. Then it explains how people may dress or live differently because of their climate. After that it talks about how wind coming from various places can effect the climate. Water can also effect the climate by coming from different parts of the earth. It says that places of extreme weather, such as the Sahera or Antartica, are much less populated than balanced places. I think that I learned and benefitted from this video.
